There's Nothing Left Poem by Tracy Lee Luoma

There's Nothing Left

Rating: 5.0

Why have you forsaken me,
It's clear for all to see.
You have lied to my face, torn my heart,
Piece by piece, you've taken me apart. How much must I give unto you
Until you let me be.
How much pain must I go through
Until happiness I can see. Why is it that you make me cry, then catch my tears as they fall,
Why is it that you paint my face, and dress me as a doll.
Why can't I touch the mountains so high, when I try so hard to be free,
How come I can't live my life, why won't you let me be. Why is it that you torture my mind, with the evil games that you play,
How come you won't let me leave, I'm always forced to stay.
I've given all that I can give, there's nothing left at all,
All the respect and love I had, deep into hell it will fall. Take my arms and chain them down, and bleed my life from me,
That's all I have left to give, Take it, so you'll be free.
