Tiny Daggers Poem by Melvina Germain

Tiny Daggers

Rating: 3.5

I fear the dagger you pierce within my heart.
Let my blood come forth by a blade of steel.
Keep your words, please let them not impart,
for the pain they reap, I will surely feel.

I don't really know how to judge a poem other than a limerick, Melvina. This does not appear to me to have a very good rhythm. I think I need instruction. Or perhaps there is no rhythm as you would expect in a limerick? I shall try harder. As it stands I give it a 7
