Tonite Poem by Lorenzo Cruz

Tonite

Late at night, all is quiet to my ears.
Yet my heart screams with tears,
looking back on the past year,
overcoming my fears,

Late at night I close my eyes,
listening to the evil lies,
my soul lifts up the skies,
and yells out many cries,

Late at night I perservere for our love,
knowing in my heart that you were sent from above,

The mountain I have to climb, knowing where to start
I see you in the sky, feel you in wind, hear you in my heart,

More precious than my own life,
is our love, because you are my wife.

Late at night, i fall asleep with you forever in my dreams.
