Treehouse Poem by Janine Alyssa Navarro

Treehouse

lie with me
this Earth is our bed
the sky is our movie
the stars pass by
they shoot across
the great darkness
it’s big and black
but we’re not scared

lie with me
here, stay by me
in our tree house
where times comes
to take its leisure
where distance
has no power,
no, none at all

lie with me
hold my hands
they’re rough, scared
but so are yours
let me fall asleep
in your arms,
if I don’t wake up
I don’t really care
