Wishing Poem by Leonard Lee

Wishing

Rating: 5.0

As he sits outside his ancient cottage....
in his mind, played a strange footage...
stuck in the magical moment of fantasy...
lost in transition, he lost reality...

the image in his mind's eye, no one could believe...
but for him, oh what a relief...
playing in a grassy field with the love of his life...
in a small house far away they thrive...

trading little hugs and kisses...
making promises and silent wishes...
melting in each other's sweet embrace...
what a time, what a place...
hand in hand they walk together...
they are in love forever....

ohh what a wonderful dream it is...
surely this is heaven this is bliss...
as she loves him, and he loves her..
together, they know no fear...

suddenly he wakes up, and finds himself smiling...
then he lets out a disappointed sigh and say, 'too bad i'm dying'
