Srijeeta Manna Poems

Life under a trigger,
impatient to leave,
craving for love.
I close my eyes
...

Sultry afternoon thoughts
give me some pleasure today.
Counting the leaves of the mysterious tree,
immortality fencing up my garden,
...

I wither away with time.
The wind still blows across my face,
whispering in my ears
the reasons to embrace.
...

The wall between my mind and soul
takes away my might as a whole.
I lay here
lifeless, motionless and still,
...

The familiar faces from the past,
the realities of this world so vast
keeps changing every single day
in a canopy of work and play.
...

Words can be fake;
Relations at a stake.
Broken are promises;
Unfulfilled wishes.
...

Loser I am of the game
whose rules had been set by me.
Loser I am to the person
whom I loved with glee.

Vision

Life under a trigger,
impatient to leave,
craving for love.
I close my eyes
and the flashback starts.....

Light from the window
kept me awake till the eternity.
A touch to make me feel free.
Desire running through,
carrying me over to the new world
where i hope to meet you on the half way.

I am not lost in the darkness of light;
but i am lost in u.

Free me from this bondage and let me go
because
my life is under a trigger
impatient to leave,
craving for love
from you.

What a moving poem. The opening really speaks to me. Thank you! The wall between my mind and soul takes away my might as a whole. I lay here lifeless, motionless and still, resembling death.
