THE ODE TO BIRTH

As a man
crosses the ever-scorched areas of existence, is calcinated
...

Rain falls
but it does not touch your hidden face.
The uncensored grimaces of your feelings
become lost in an elaborately etched ancient face mask.

THE HOPE OF HOPLITE
(AWARDED IN SALAMINA, GREECE 2012)

How blue was the color of the sea
...

The Ode To Birth

THE ODE TO BIRTH

As a man
crosses the ever-scorched areas of existence, is calcinated
and by the ashes reborn, afire sovereign of day.

Through waves of faint daylight
creatures wash their sins away
and as they yearn for their sleeping shelter
a crescent depicts on the sea
the path to their rise.

Birth and fall are imagined
like an astral spree
parallel to a sun chart.
Unique glimmers there are,
unnoticed from the naked eye,
together they are weaved
and gloriously enlighten the destiny
showing you a rainbow of tomorrow.

The stream of life
a primordial, sacramental hymn,
which only the soul can chant,
silken and fractal dances with the wind
in a melody of your own choice.
And that's how the ode to birth begins,
by the bound resurrection of a mother's embrace
till your last goodbye
and by the fatal blink of your path
until light gives life again.

That's why you call yourself a man
you know how it is to laugh
through the eyes of a newborn,
you know of cheerful tears
by conquering your high hopes,
you can feel a soul thrill from a kiss,
you can die by your beloved's final cut.
