Watched the stars,
watch me watching them.

on this ocean of sighs
I pitch and roll
helpless -

How many love poems,
end in love requited?
How many the hands won,
with pretty words?

The evening draws to a close
Excuses are made and we
- say our goodbyes

clicking moments
listlessly away
days escape like loosely held sand
the road less travelled seems lost

The moon dark night,
echoing with the cicada song
of four X tinnies. Lit
with a rich golden hue.
