Over mountains, across seas,
Through the clouds and into the sky,
But do not lament my love for I am nigh,

I dream in black and white,
A tasteless world - unfeeling.
Tar-like tears alter sight,
And these scars are not healing.

Where are you my gentle breeze?
I long for your caress.
You left for far off seas,
Yet my heart you still possess.

You're fighting for a tighter grip,
On the emotions eluding my clasp.
No eye contact again, so we'll just skip,
A conversation that we cannot grasp.

In the empty rooms and vacant halls,
Sleep evades the lonely,
Torment of desolation between these walls,
My heart's aching for your warmth only.
...

The envious moon,
Pock marked and scarred,
Warbles a lonesome tune,
To seas reflecting a face so marred.
...

Is there a man who slumbers among the stars?
Does he weep for a world we so boldly call ours?
Does it gnaw at his gut, what we've done to ourselves?
Losing our way for trinkets on shelves.

Deep inside my heart,
Your gaze warms my soul,
Can you describe what you see?
For I've run aground on life's heartbreak shoal.

Walking down a stony beach,
Alone, no destination in mind,
Wishing you were within my reach,
Like the runt of a litter left behind.

The world lacks it's brilliant hue,
Love like grains of sand,
Leaves me blind while losing you,
Slowly between the fingers of my hand.
