I well remember those days, when I could really hop,
Alas, my figure plumped, my hair now gray and thin,
The deepest cut of all, are the shoes I now fit in.

Got up this morning, no sun in my eyes,
The house is so cold, no warmth to the fire,
My love is gone, he took all my desire,
And cruel winds of winter howled all night.

Board the windows, bar the door,
Water and dry goods we now store,
Clouds roll in, dark as dusk,
As we pray, in God we trust.

Hot moist air, silky sand,
Dancing waves of blue,
The smell of the salty sea,
All for my love so true.

Beyond luminicence winter clouds,
Silver winds causing chilling shivers,
As winter's pearly grasp quickly sways,
Silent, lovely, and brutal.

Skiters buzzin’ in de breeze,

Pay no ‘tention to de dogs.

Can be happy, sad, mad, or mean.

Eyes they sit above the nose,
