Terry Moore Poems

My shallow and hating heart burns again
You want me to act with you as if we were friends
I only know of one unconditional love
I hold everything to force myself not to shove
...

The night rolls in from the east
The street lamps exude the heat
On this dark December night
The frost begins to bite
...

Lights are out in my house
They might as well be in my head
In this corner with your blouse
Crying with it in my hand
...

I get lost in your eyes
With your sultry guise
Hiding the inside, your true beauty
Sometimes I wish that you are with me
...

The tension is unbearable, my love is unchangeable
Next to her, there is no other girl
Why do I love the unloveable?
...

I walk
within the rain,
gathering all my thoughts.
This might be a foretelling sign.

Terry Moore Biography

I enjoy great music lyrics, which they somehow inspired me to write. Most of my stuff was written to be a song, but just somehow sounds better read lol. I suck at English (the subject) , but somehow find enjoyment in writing poetry. Only few have read these originally scribbles in my notebooks and are mostly from my early HS days. I recently attend Texas Tech University where I'm on the drumline playing snare and hope to get my doctorate in Optometry at University of Houston. No English major at all lol.)

The Emo Proposal

My shallow and hating heart burns again
You want me to act with you as if we were friends
I only know of one unconditional love
I hold everything to force myself not to shove

This playing of my heart has aged me well
Cheeks flushed and my hatred swells
I am to love someone else for life
Even though I want to see your face when I die

We joked about marriage when it's too far off
I only wish I were back in that spot
I don't want to look back at what could've been
When you told me that we should be friends

There is just too many times in the world
When a guy devotes his heart to one girl
Tells her that he loves her, and means it
Then they break up because she's scared of commitment

There are guys who are genuine and true
Don't stereotype us as jerks, when the jerk is you
I only push back when I feel the hurt
Please don't take it the wrong way, my love's unstirred

I'd give you my life, this dismal life
All I ask for is love, time, and a knife
A knife to quench this love I have so far
Either to kill me now, or to die in your loving arms.
