The death road grind

I find myself at times when life

I stand alone and look to see,
hand held head my dreams show me
the things my life I am not proud,
a wasted youth of a mind endowed.

I feel the darkness of the night,
the sun it never came.

Destiny hark-ins unto my past,

TerryLee Holcomb Biography

I have never thought of myself as a poet. I get get the blues and i write that simple. I grew up in southbay LA. Was in trouble quite a bit but have calmed down in my latter years. OK many not but anyways I like living on the edge and when the edge brakes I fall in a hole that takes me dark and lonely places. I'm married with children and I love it. TLH.?)

Death Road Grind

The death road grind
by Silvertung

I find myself at times when life
takes me on her death road grind,
That it matters not of how
the pain will seek to seed the plow.

I get these fits of sorrows crash
that pull my mind and body past,
all the grief or loss that slipped
the sands of time that bend and twist.

So starts the journey of my soul
i seek dark eyes in blood that pools,
I look for them in times of silence
yet my eyes can never find them.

In this domain that witch it dwells
sounds are thoughts not songs or bells,
will lonely death or violence end
bring this journeys timeless bend.

Ask me not of what i seek
but these dark eyes forever bleed.
