Illuminates the night
with a heavenly glow

After Valentine's Day…

Each beat of my heart is filled with love….
flying high on the wings of a morning dove

In the flurry of distractions
we hurry on our way
Caught up in the rush of
obtaining… saying goodbye

She has such passion
it is indelible
Or is it simply rage
...

Oh dear Lord can you help?
Mom has decided she is one of the girls
Now dressing in the latest teen fashions
At our parties… dancing and tossing her curls
...

In a universe of countless stars and planets
Earth is a sphere with a cooling crust
To those who occupy this obscure globe
A search for meaningful purpose is a must...

Who yanked the floor
out from beneath my feet...
Can't believe the ache in my head
I feel like I should've stayed in bed
...

The sun is bright; it looks pleasant outside
The thermometer measures one below
Think I'll have a cup of tea while I decide
just what to do; gears are moving slow
