Thomas Donnelly (23rd October 1994)
Biography of Thomas Donnelly
I'm just a guy who has too many thoughts for his own good. I haven't really dabbled in poetry writing before, but I have always loved reading it, even if my friends think I'm boring! I won't be cranking out the verse like a factory, but probably just every now and then. However, you can be assured that every line will be lovingly concieved and formed. I am so proud of my work (what little there is of it) and I am happy that I am able to share it with you all. Please take the time to read and comment; feedback is always appreciated!
Thanks for having the patience to listen to this spiel, you are to be applauded.
The island stands alone in virgin silence
Its rugged vistas pleasing to the eye
Its ocean girdled slopes untouched by violence
Sleep peacefully beneath an azure sky
The forests range unchecked with verdant bounty
The vivid patchwork meadows here grow free
And over all the mountains tower proudly
Their peaks stare condescending out to sea
