Tigers Dancing Poems

Forty more people lost a child this week.
‘Lost' does not in any way describe the horror,
The carnage that must have taken place
In such a short time.

How do you know when you
are going mad?
When what is in your head is not what is?
When what you see and hear cannot be touched?

For All The Would Be Preppers Who Aren't Quite Ready Yet…

The camping gear in pride of place

The Best Poem Of Tigers Dancing

Newtown, Ct

Forty more people lost a child this week.
‘Lost' does not in any way describe the horror,
The carnage that must have taken place
In such a short time.

I look at my own child
and I am thankful.

Thankful that for now, she is still with me.
Thankful that she has passed that small age
where the world is so inviting
but so unexpectedly dangerous.

And I think of them,
the parents;
all those who lost someone.

Someone they brought into the world.
Someone they loved without condition.
Someone they couldn't protect.

The teachers; each of them was someone's child too.
And the man who took all these lives
a lost child himself.

The world will always be unexpectedly dangerous.
It is also unexpectedly beautiful.
Do not allow fear to rule.
Trust that all will be well.
Live in today.
