Timmy Tubbs Poems

I deleted a lot of what I wanted to say
There is a tourniquet pinching my stomach
For what you have been through
You are so strong
...

Comfortable In Shoes

They walk through garbage sniffing for rice
Their black bare feet are leather now under their scorching sun
...

Following the Wrinkles of My Smile

It’s not me you fell in love to
It's the wrinkles that consume my eyes
...

Late October, Faye’s Motel vacancy sign shorted out
Those petals dried up years ago anyhow
Guess I never saw that train coming as I stumbled over your tracks
Every dish I ever served you came with a side of razor blades
...

I’m going to get bread she said
The summer day beared witness to this
She gently shut the door and who knew
That was the last time those fluffy blue slippers
...

My fingertips miss your soft skin
Everyday you shed bits of me
...

Having me won’t wash away our demons
And we know this
...

Hate steals love and they drown together
Hiding words to a secret passion
...

Though my insides resemble no fashion of who I used to be
My gaze is still keeps your eyes wide open
...

It’s okay; I have the urges too
I have learned to control them
...

I close my eyes tight
And lift my head to the stars at night
...

My legs pound like pistons
I ride away from you
...

Count every eye lash ever wished upon
Reverse the order of the wishes and wish again
...

She has been there for days
And her days slow the hours
...

I find myself smelling your shirts
And when it comes to my thoughts in the morning
...

To my surprise my sweet
To my surprise
It is not a person changing their dream
Dreams change their people
...

17.

You're a flower, for the bee
You're good at stinging, stinging me
Your pollen, it tastes too sweet
No none for me miss, none for me
...

Open Eyes Blind

Everyone knows a clean break is best
So I’ll render your edges smooth
...

What’s Best For Her

We are all just ignorant foot soldiers
Dirty work ravishes between our toes
...

Swollen

There he sits
At the edge of his bed

The Best Poem Of Timmy Tubbs

Too Much Blue

I deleted a lot of what I wanted to say
There is a tourniquet pinching my stomach
For what you have been through
You are so strong
Most would give up on love
I’m here to make you happy
So far I have failed
I guess I want to say that I am very thankful for you
I can’t
Keeps repeating in my head
You have probably heard this before
And that is when I stop thinking
Because I cant think of the words to say to make you believe in me
But seeing you like that makes me sick
And that is where my thoughts end
There is too much blue
