In the same way they are felt.
What words could describe the emotions best,
That can cause a heart to melt?

The mind of another human being,
Looked at me from behind dark brown eyes,
And asked me 'What are you seeing?
And please, do not answer me with lies'.

This collective of cells manifests itself to be,
Everything that is known as me.
But what of this awareness biz,
What is it that makes me fizz?

The old men who used to sit on the bench,
When young together occupied a stinking trench,
Where they'd wonder if they'd ever again see,
Their wives and sweethearts, and if there'd ever be,

We stood on the rocky breakwater,
My fishing friend Peter and me,
Faces turned sideways from the wind,
Which churned the steel grey sea.

And they're off, and they've set off at speed
And 'New Kid On The Block' takes an early lead,
Quickly followed by 'Wide Eyed With Wonder',
And coming up quickly and from under,

If It would work then I would pray,
