The title poet, is something that I have not yet earned. I'm just a person writing from experiences with pain, suffering, happiness, anger, etc. I want to show everyone that it is okay to put yourself out there, because you will never exeprience life if you have not lived. So the title poet, is something I'm not. Because I'm honestly just writing about things that have happened to me that I feel everyone else goes through as well. Bash me if you want, Praise me if you must, but no matter what you put, I'll keep writing.)

Mirror

I look in the mirror
And what do I see?
I see me,
A man with empty hopes and dreams

Why am I quiet?
Why am I scared?
Why cant I love myself,
the way i loved you?

I look in the mirror
And what do i see?
I see a man
Full of ambition,
But is afraid to break free

I look in the mirror
And what do i see?
I see me, Travis Jacob Nunez,
Who's trying to be set free

'Love yourself' I say
'Be yourself! ' I yell
'Don't be afraid' I whisper

For when I look in the mirror
I see a man,
With endless hopes a dreams
