In my sleep I dreamt a dream
A lovely delightful dream
That took me to the land of love

And the wind was upon the leaves
And every leaf trembled at its touch

When I sit down to write a poem
From topic to topic, my mind does roam

I long to be by your side
To burn in the flame of love's fire
Touch and feel your passion's fervour
Supping it to my heart's desire

Don’t ever be in sick hurry
Take a respite from all your worry
Occasionally steal a moment to enjoy
Look at life in a spirit of joy

I lay down to sleep
With the soft whisper of rain in my ears
At some unearthly hour
Wakened up from sleep

When the world
begins to close in on me
I walk to the beach,
not too far away.

I have something so fragile inside
It is nothing but a crystal orb
Reddish in tint, sometimes it gleams
Sometimes goes off like a fuse bulb
