    Salley's poems are simple & effective...
    wordsworth's theory of poetic diction is still followed, as poetry is the word of every heart, so it should be within the reach of even a lay man.Biology and God stays with me as my favorite...

The Heralding of a Poet

The poet stands on a corner
And faithfully heralds his cry
About the issues of life.
He speaks of flowers in bloom,
Of rhythm and of tune.
He speaks of love, hate,
Unity and debate.
He speaks of laughter, tears,
And of war-torn years.
