Wardah Arshad Poems

Never knew what I was getting into,
Seemed like such a harmless act,
Now I've fallen in too deep,
Unable to climb back.
...

The night's young,
Beautiful and dear.
The wind comes
Blowing my hair.
...

Dark skies collect this mournful day
Pitiful glances look her way
Silent questions only she manages to hear
Though so strong, it's all too much to bear.
...

It's all so quiet
but suddenly so loud
she sits silently
then fidgets then crouch
...

I remember how you use to tell me,
With pride in your eyes,
The day I was born
The happiness you couldn't hide
...

Five dead roses,
For five dead days,
Days that once,
Would light my way.
...

I sit on the pavement,
Underneath the clear sky,
Through rain or snow,
Day or night,
...

We believed in everything,
And we died to protect it all.
In the passing days we lived like demons,
Destroying everything we got.
...

The darkness surrounds me,
As I wait alone,
In these four walls I see,
Figures shifting through the room.
...

A secret note I write your name,
The secret words which, in my heart, still remains,
A secret wish I write on this sheet,
I wish our hearts, as one, could meet,
...

The mirrors deceive,
they show someone who's not me.
a little bit of uncertainty
fills the face of the reflection that's not me.
...

12.

I laid my eyes upon him,
the last time he looked away,
I knew I had fallen,
but could not turn away.
...

Everything dims down to perfection,
This slow yet steady chats become routines,
Nothing breaks but nothing stays either,
Of These are promises they secretly keep.
...

Life is a daydream,
A never ending story,
You write every second that goes by,
You decide your own ending,
...

I used to be told death is just a name,
to scare naughty children so they learn how to obey.
I grew up to believe that forever everyone stayed.
But soon, very soon, i found them to go away.

Trapped In A Day Dream

Never knew what I was getting into,
Seemed like such a harmless act,
Now I've fallen in too deep,
Unable to climb back.
My mind struggles for both sides,
Unable to keep track,
These screams I try to hide,
Behind these senseless acts.
Maybe I found happiness
Or was too scared to get hurt,
I chose the path that led to darkness,
Now it's getting harder to return.
I'm sinking in deeper,
Falling from truth,
Truth that I had left behind
It was a mistake, now I know.
Maybe I was desperate,
But I pray to be pulled out,
I've fallen in too deep,
And keep climbing further down.
I've blocked my mind to what I hate,
Reality is getting harder to face,
I'm lost in my own little heaven,
Trapped a little too out of place.
I chose my path and jumped in darkness,
Left my priority
Love and all my rest,
I'm falling I to hell,
Disguised as my own little heaven,
Pull me back up
Before I get eaten by darkness.
