Aqua pool girl in blue
stepping outa hot water pool
beneath summer full bread moon.

Often I picture this childhood scene.
My parents and I in summertime.
In summer evening rock garden
my mother or father watering

Was summertime afternoon
sun was doing what sun does
sky was bluest of blue
no clouds no clouds were anywhere.

I grew up in typical kiwi style,
walked the dull grey suburban mile.
Except my head was elsewhere man in tune,
within another hip colourful spacey room.
