Wilfred Deigh Poems

A journey has just begun
Sailing the seas of trust and betrayal
To find a treasure long been lost and gone
I'd have to sail through friendship, depression, hate and self-denial
...

When I'm yes,
she's no
And if I'd stay
she'd go
...

A line has been crossed
trust betrayed,
a goodbye said
a final blink given.
...

Be calm oh mighty sea
Thy roar so frightening, all can hea'
we're but peasants crossing, thy estuarine
drown not our thirsty gullets with thy brine
...

The Journey

A journey has just begun
Sailing the seas of trust and betrayal
To find a treasure long been lost and gone
I'd have to sail through friendship, depression, hate and self-denial

To a destination not known
I'm ready to sail on
Since time and fate are no man's own
The heart is prepared to sail on

Of treasures buried in mysterious islands
A purpose for adventure is found
Virgin shores and lust lands
This journey's goal is ground

With foggy skies of love and calm waters of hatred
The heart saileth the treacherous waters of sirens (fake friends)
With truth, loyalty and faithfulness these seas I tread

Wrecked by the rough seas of trust
I wander the wicked waters of betrayal
Unsure if these waters can be crossed
fog of loneliness and depression cloud my binocular

Trodden down the great Indies
Had a taste of the hypnosis of songs of sirens
Enjoyed the guilty pleasures of mermaids and island beauties
But still, I long to explore horizons not yet seen

An island like no other I've found
Though strange, she is yet beautiful and adventurous
I cannot resist buh love her all round

With thoughts anchored on the shores of your memories
I wish to sail further no more
Because your island is where my treasure is
