In Her Memory

The days are gone, when I knew how to smile
Life without you, 'tis not worthwhile
I remember when
Way back then
When first we met
And our path was set
But I knew then not
That it would hurt alot
To lose you
To say goodbye
To watch you die
Fell to despair I did
To the darkness I slid
Now I feel naught
Of pain like that sort
He you knew is now gone
For without you, he could not live on
From his emptiness, I was born
His memories, fragments of a world torn
His only wish could not be fulfilled
In his mind that was drilled
Day and night
Till he lost his sight
To your memory does my head bow
I am that which remains now
A hollow vessel, an empty shell
The world without you, Elizabeth, it's hell.
