For when I sit in this unknowingness;

It’s an oasis of peace

The ones with bite and teeth
And when I find their tracks
I’ll rest a while beneath

Pavements lamposts tarmac cars
Litter with words graffiti scars
Letterbox signs parking meter
Traffic warden wages eater
...

Double murderers,
every crime imaginable
men eaten with remorse
prisoners of their own misdeeds
...

Today I was found by a book
Waiting patiently on a shelf
Amongst the bric-a-brac
Next to a Beatles books of songs
...

Hey Joe we’re going to the magic theatre
You comin?

My heart will catch them whilst I sing
