As shimmering lost wraiths we met,

The Mind's World

By the kerb of life he stood
Silently his eyes
Conveyed his need
The warmth he sought
The embrace he desired......
And as life passed him by
He looked at each passers-by
Searching, looking, seeking
Wanting & wishing........
........the completion....
None stopped or cast a glance
In the quicksand of life
There was no one.......
He stood alone....
By the kerb of life,

And as he stood....he smiled wryly
For the searching and the seeking
Was the essence....not the arriving,
Infinite was life, the boundless, unfettered flow
Of the expectation, of absorption
…the destination...
disillusionment and decay, of bondage,
Stagnating and suffocating..
Finite
Life could exist not in one warmth but several,
Various completions....unending and inevitably ending

Life's panorama was limitless....the matrix ever changing
Completion is finite
He could live only in the infinite of his minds world...
....without definitions,
Formless
... the mere mirage
Moved him, made him alive.
He could live only in infinity
All else was an illusion....
