In The Presence Of The King

Entering Christ's presence is like entering a Kings palace.
I am awed at the beauty that surrounds me.
His glory encompasses me; I cannot speak.
All I can do is kneel in adoration.

Who am I that I should so boldly
Enter the palace of a King?
Who am I that I should so boldly
Come into the presence of the King of Kings?

I bow before Him, a hopeless, lost sinner in the presence of holiness.
Spotted by sin and wearing the tattered garments of the world,
Wounded, bleeding and grief stricken, I tearfully repent,
Allowing Him to touch me where I hurt.

Gentle hands lift up my face and I look into His eyes.
His beautiful eyes! -Loving, compassionate, forgiving!
His gentle touch calms my fears, and quiets my trembling heart.
And a peace sweeps over me like a gentle breeze.

It is so amazing! He assures me I have a right to be there.
He touches me and suddenly I am clothed in a robe of righteousness.
He crowns me with loving kindness and tender mercies.-
He is the glory and the lifter of my head.

Adopted by Royalty, bought and paid for with holy blood-
Blood shed on a cross in payment for my sin.
I don't need to understand it, only receive it.
And with a grateful heart I will love and serve him the rest of my life.

In His presence I step back, beholding His beauty, forgetting about myself.
In His presence my hungry heart is satisfied, and I am at peace.
In His presence I talk to Him with my heart, in words my lips cannot speak.
In His presence I am complete, Jesus Christ is my everything.
