Life On Over

People will fail
But God will never
Many don't get why
We have this purgatory
I have to say
I agree many times over
But i come to my senses
and realize why
and remember my teachings
But sometimes it's not enough
I regret many things
and I am a 'what if' man
I know its bad
To think this way
but for life on over
God is there
I want out of this purgatory
To see Him face to face
The one who loves me
for life on over
I am His
For my companions
Fail me
Over and over
I swear to Thee
Bring me over
My heart aches
When I am forgotten
My mind Hurts
When my friends forsake me
I cannot take
All the hate
Till time has passed
Life on over
The small things hurt
Sometimes the worst
I cannot ask for it to stop
For that is the way
Of this land
Life on over
I whisper to the Lord
'Take me now'
When I can't stand
I kneel before Him
and ask that
I be with Him
For life on over
I plead to Thee
For this purgatory to end
I weep and am not well
I want to leave
And be with Thee
