Zara Denette Poems

The cold mist clears
Revealing tears
Like dewdrops
On the dying trees.
...

You love me
And I guess that’s nice,
‘cause love is bright as a city.
But now I know that your heart is ice
...

If I cannot be with you,
If our souls remain apart,
I will die a lonely death
With a shattered, empty heart.
...

Don’t let her trick you.
Don’t let her pull you in.
She’s a fake, I tell you,
Stay away from her grin.
...

The love I gave to you
Was the life you took from me.
You say you love me too,
But still I cannot see.
...

If I could stop the world, go back,
And kiss you, dear, just one last time
I would.
...

I struggle in vain
to break the chains
that bind me to this tortured world.
It's been so long, oh so long,
...

I struggle in vain
to break the chains
that bind me to this tortured world.
It's been so long, oh so long,
...

Zara Denette Biography

I'm younger than you think I am. I don't often publish things, but that's fine with me. I keep my writing secret from my parents; maybe you can see why?)

The Best Poem Of Zara Denette

Cold Mist Clears

The cold mist clears
Revealing tears
Like dewdrops
On the dying trees.

Your hollow lies
Drown out my cries
But something
Keeps me here with you.

I’ve tried so hard
To find the shards
Of broken hearts
Lost in the dark.

The touch of Death
Erases breath
Like laughter
On the chilling wind.
