Many congratulations for being the number one on the scales of poetry, as i remember this is the 2nd time you have earned this honour...Even more important than rising on these scales is the fondness and eagerness of learning and practicing various forms of poetry, you are keen to improve that is your positive point, and the good thing in any learner, as we all are. Congrats again!

I have read some of your work, and it is remarkable. I don't want to single out what I've read so far...But when I read it, 'I feel like I'm there, with you..! You mention Derrida. Yeah, philosophy has become a penchant of mine, and keeps the imagination stoked.

Anyway, this is just a small note for you. Wow, sheer excellence, i am jealous! (but in an inspired way) ,

    Dear Respected Poets!

    C.D.Lewis once remarked:
The learning to read poetry takes as much patience and concentration as the learning to write it.
This is what we learn here on all these poetry sites, and especially the workshops like this heart-page provide us learning followed by pleasure, and we are grateful to Wahab bhai who provided many pages for the exposure of this hidden talent in many of us who learn the art of poetry by reading the poems and their critiques on poems by the senior poets here. I am delighted and privileged to present this humble opinion on AbdulWahab's poetry as an acknowledgment to his services.

    THE REVIEW! ! !
    Abdul Wahab: Selected Poems!

The buds and blossoms on which the spring of life looks proud are remembered by the tender names of love, hard-work, integrity, fidelity, knowledge and intelligence. This book of life is inscribed with patience and perseverance, ceaseless struggle, happiness and sorrows. Blended with the colors of Truth and Devotion, there are shades of trials and tribulations as well. So the life of those people, whose personality reflects these scattered hues of life, is constructed on the above virtues; they don't waste their precious moments in filling in the Well by dew-drops, neither do they store- up bubbles in their pockets nor do they run after butterflies. Since their life is the evident manifestation of trials and triumphs that's why to encompass their life in the bounds of here and now would be a great injustice, as their life is like a flowing sea without any retiring ebb, as they are the owners of the constant flow of the life-currents. Such is the life of Abdul Wahab.

Abdul Wahab is the prolific poet of the modern times. With a sensitive heart of a reformer and a vast imagination he covers all the topics which are directly related to the most complex, the most tender and fragile thing—and as an eminent writer puts it, the exciting of processes: life itself. He captures Life sometimes by asking question:

What is life? This gives me a big problem!
What is life? More difficult to write in a poem!
What is life? Bewildered and confused me a lot….
What is life? Who dares to fathom it? …
and sometimes by giving the direct judgment.
Abdul Wahab is the founder of many poetry pages online, he accepts that the habit of book-reading can be lost but under the cyber-revolution, reading and writing poetry online still has been very much in vogue. The idea of gathering poets together from all over the world on the celebrated platform of GLOBAL POETRY is very much on his credit. Irrespective of caste, creed, and culture, the creative artists make the best use of it to exchange their feelings in the garb of verses.
The poem Global Poetry celebrates the getting together of these poets from different countries who enjoy sharing without boundaries or blockades on race and religion. It is an effort to promote the best literary human relations, as we see here:

    Poetry from around the globe
From every corner of the world from every nations
On every human emotions, original and
Universal, no distinctions on races and religions,
Color of skins, hairs and eyes, sex or tribes, poets
Heart out writes, apprehensions and experiences
Molded in their souls and minds to strengthen
Friendship, love, fraternity and brotherhood relinquishing
Separation and hate and dig down deep to fathom out
Quality and merit, upholding high the flag of beauty and truth
Cultivating to enrich always humanism of the whole humanity.
His work is labeled as Popular Poetry in true sense of the term as he talks on various topics of mutual or individual concern touching every age and gender. Topics like Love, Nature, Social issues, and Personal matters are all what come out of one major source that is LIFE. Life is not a constant but an ever-changing phenomenon, for the poet it is something beyond understanding, very complex sometimes, while on some other occasions, life is like a neatly-done sum, easy-going & smooth; he never forgets to impart the message:

    Whatever life is …………
Stand straight, never, never bent or bow
Remain glad, never, never sad or low.
Similarly, the message of the same degree we find in the poem of life...

LIFE: 2ND attempt in writing a song:

But things will never come again and again
As life is never a fluke
If you want to achieve something concrete
You have to rub your butt against a thorn or prick.
The passion of Love in his poetry bears many shades of relations, nature, and character. He says: I am in love
    with books
    as they are
Like my life, why, because …Between the lines
I find life- a beauty; but to see the depth and intensity with all the oneness of being is wonderful in

If the soul doesn't find you beside me
then ask me what is an uneasy and jittery?
Among people how I feel lonely!
As if my life will end and meet with death
My blood starts to clot and chokes my breath
The heaven cracks and the hell starts to turn green
All hopes and dreams lost in the chaos and din
In the mind is going on a storm and lighting
As if the solar system has stopped its spinning.
Worries unsettle and tension kills me slowly…
Love becomes an enigma and a paradox when he states in his own way that Love is hate
Teaches to hate greed and lust. It is not mundane but abstract and spiritual with deep meaning inside.
It is rightly remarked that every satirist is at heart an idealist. The heart of a reformer and an idealist reflects through some of the poems in Abdul Wahab's collection which can clearly be categorized as the social verse. Malpractices disturb him, as at one place he is compelled to apostrophize God-The Almighty in:

    O My God! (ii)

    O my god! !
    Just to go up.....
See, how people do the mean work!

    O my god! !
Let their minds be stirred up
And their inner souls are cleaned up.
Being a responsible son of the same human society he dares to diagnose the problems prevalent everywhere around him. Injustice is quite intolerable for him Here's an instance of diagnosis in the lines:
    If you swallow it down
It will come more and more in swarm
You make it a breeding ground …but in the last lines he offers a remedy based on the above diagnosis: if you are able to throw it out
You get a victory on behalf of all
In the history of human struggle. What wicked scenario is affecting the fabric of the society can be best seen in the following thought-provoking and highly figurative poem in terms of an obvious analogy in:

    A haggard hawk drops
    A stone on the pond
Making a ring wave tricky trap
A fed up frog jumps up
    Thinking of a drop
Hope of new life and rain
    Swamps down quickly a crane
Making a feast out of the frog
    Pond can't punish the culprits
    Begs pardon with folded hands.

The poems Two Systems, Untouchability, Against Suicide, and Stair Case are the wonderfully deep and meaningful poems, poems written for the purpose to serve society and humanity. He believes in equality of all men based on the inner merit.
In the domain of diction and versification he keeps pace with the modern poets, lucid but deep. He prefers to compose in Free-Verse, which is the right medium for his creative and free-thinking with an unobstructed flow. Society is the same everywhere, the issues are also the same and the poems by Abdul Wahab offer a food for thought for all readers irrespective of age, gender, creed and colour.

Poet of the month. ABDUL WAHAB on FB/ The Heart of Global Poets, workshop and Publishing Platform.

It is my privilege to introduce Poet Abdul Wahab as poet of this month.
Abdul Wahab was born in the year 1971 in a remote place in West Bengal in a family of semi landlord. After initial schooling, he joined Aligarh Muslim University and graduated with the highest honors in 1994. His philosophy to remain in search of the ultimate took him to various parts of the country experimenting in various ways to fulfill his dreams encountering at times both success and failure. In 2003 he joined Govt. service after acquiring top position in the competition. He is at present posted near Kolkata/India. He also acquired the skill in financial market which gave him an insight into the working of finances into the lives of people. He has a lovely doting wife and a lovely son to keep him happy 24x7.

Poet in Abdul Wahab came to the fore when he found contentment in his expression of happiness, anger, love, ideas etc. through poetic verses. Writing poems come naturally to him to express his ideas. He started writing poetry only in January 2012. He found great pleasure in expressing his thoughts in various ways. He has his own unique style to deal with different subjects and moods. Most of his poetry have a dose of allegory, metaphors, similes, etc. leaving a reader guessing while marveling at the ingenuity of the poet. Abdul Wahab has written about 700 hundred poems in Bangali and 400 hundred poems in English. This really is an remarkable achievement by all standards considering the fact that he started writing english poem only in January 2012.He writes mostly on poetic websites like www.poets.com and www.poemhunter.com This is a record of sorts coming from the man who till 2011 had never thought of writing poetry to meet his ultimate goal.

As a poet he is sensitive bordering frankness. He deals in variety of subjects through poetry: - simple, thought provoking, enlightening and entertaining. As a poet he does not mince a word when it comes to communicating a message through his poetic verses. Actually his total personality and mentality gets reflected in his poems. Sample this via his OPINION ON POETRY: -Quote
Simple is better. Clean words with clear meaning. Direct and to the point. I especially like poems that set up the reader for an expected ending, and then denies him or her that ending. I like poems that give the reader a kick, or bite or scratch at the end. Life is like that. Things never turn out quite the way we expect them to. Life is always different than our expectations of it. That's what makes it so damn interesting. Unquote./ An opinion on poetry by Abdul Wahab.

His creation’s vivid imagery stick to the minds of readers for a long time. Sample some of his recent poems for understanding his creative abilities. The beauty of all his poem lies in its different interpretations and understanding by the readers.

    Signing birds
The soil on which I live
    No reflection of the rays
It must be flat and plain,
the fruit I eat is lack of milk,
the water I drink must be solid,
    the erudite bird explained,
if not so ‘ why can not the birds
of your forest sing like the birds
    of mine? ”
are all the waves of you
    are higher than the waves
    created in my river? then
    be aware! My friend!
    these are waves
made up of tides and ebbs,
and the storm is less strong
here and the wind is mild
when dances in the forest the bonfire
    Dead cow
    When a wish is grown
    Like a wild weed
    On your desired field
I am wanted like a soil
    You play with utmost
    Care and attention
As I am your best friend
    After the gratification
    The game is declared over
Affection and love quickly fading away
    You drive and push hard
Throw me down on the ground
    I am your lovely toy

    In need of alliance
For your good and bad acts
You put yourself on the driver seat
    And make me a vehicle
I give you company like a shadow
Forced to sing beautiful song in your praise
In hoarse and coarse throat of a crow
    After the purpose fulfilled
    You break the bond, covalent
Mutual respect and honour gone out off ventilation
    You become a deadly vulture
And start to eat me alive
As I am your dead cow

    The bud

    Thousand possibilities
    Astonishing and astounding
As in the little dropp of rain
    Bound together tight
    In between little wings
    Of dreams and hopes
Gems of beauty and truth are kept secret
Like in the stomach of oceanic shell

In the clear and cloudless sky
    The little dancing stars
    Of wishes and desires
    Drop few drops of dew
    To quench my thirst

    While the roads are crying
In this awkward world of avoidance
For the sound of foot steps of a friend
    Time, most trusted lover
    Was passing by
    As a traveler
    Untied my wings
    Wonder of wonder
    The most magical healer
I relieve from the pain of negligence
When I bloom into a flower

Poet in him blossoms every day with a new poem. He writes like a seasoned writer. He hold a position of honor on www.poemhunter.com through his skilled poetry. Time and again his poems have been declared POEM OF THE DAY on the site.

Perhaps he never wants to keep his poetic skill upto him only. He wants budding and blossoming poets to come forward and make a mark in the world of poetry. Even unestablished and established poets have found a realtime exposure of their poetic skills. His brainchild ‘ The hearts of Global Poets, Workshop and Publishing Platform’ gives an inkling to his endeavors in this regard. Creating of several poetic sites, allowing both Indian and international poets to post their beautiful poems, speak volumes of his determination to raise the standard of the poetry to the highest level. His determination to publish some the selected poems of highest standards, for the sake of unpublished poets, through e-books(wisdom e-book) or print publishing is laudable. He is the Founder, Creater and Managing Director of so many poetic sites on Facebook like Poetry of the World, Poetry without Borders, Poetry Worldwide, Abdul Wahab Fan Page, English and Bengali Poetry to name a few.

We wish him all the best in all his poetic endeavors and look forward to his skillfull and astonishing poetry with spontaneous flow of powerful feelings.

A flower was born in a remote place in
a family of a semi land lord in the
year of 1971, named Abdul Wahab.

    He attended Aligrah Muslim University
and graduated with highest marks with
    honors in 1994.

The in-between years were very exciting,
he journeyed to different places, and
experimented with many things with mixed
    success, some failures also. Always
    in search of the ultimate.

Abdul finally acquired top position in
the competition for the government service
in 2003. Now being posted near Kolkata.

He has also worked in the financial market
for side income. This knowledge has been
    a great asset to him

Next, Abdul turned to the field of writing
    poetry. Accidently he became involved,
found a great pleasure in expression.
since Jan.2012 he has written 700 poems
in Bengali, and more than 400 poems in
English. This is an almost unheard of feat.

His mentality reflects upon poems which can
be found on poem hunter.com and poetry.com.

This flower has blossomed into an excellent
poet. Being a new writer, he has the skills
of a seasoned veteran. He has held a position
of honor at poem hunter.com for his artistic
abilities. His use of metaphors, similies,
    and personification is extra ordinary.

His dedication to his craft is unsurpassed.
He is founder/owner of seven sites on facebook,
    an unpresidented feat in itself.

In the future look for the name ABDUL WAHAB,
it will be pronounced in literary circles.

Best Poem of Abdul Wahab

>≫≫I Want To Die

Heavenly cursed and heavily sinned I
No more i like to add them, so, I want to die
And I want to become a holy ghost
Whom the people would like the most.
Like the retreating soldiers I like to come back
To my own permanent and eternal home
You may call it a suicide or martyrdom.

In my real home I see the news
Coming from the lipstick coated lips
In the television of my molten death
People are sobbing with a heavy breath.
The atmosphere is heavy and they feel the pain
This thrills me and gives a feeling of gain.
