Abdullah Jamil Poems
Such restless walking of mind This foggy burning street Slowly advances towards imaginary crematory Hoping to get cleaned by burning in the cremation
There were two stones in the forest One black, one white They keeps on rolling whole day Sometimes get into the fountain
At the departure time eye-liner washed water drops on the two banks of the river Do not know what goes down in the chest, slow aching Staring at the sky while lying on the grass So many planets and stars are shuttled at the sky in the night.
For Thousands Of Years
Gauri, there is a barrier of small piece land in between your and my seas. I'm waiting for the day when an earthquake will submerge the piece of land to bring the two seas together.
Breaking sounds being heard Someone beating heart with a hammer All the parts are being dismantled. No complain anymore
Staring At The Return Path
Clarinet of meeting together is broken So, the violin of disconnection is played Finally, the wire of sorrow is torn ‘Behaga’, ‘Basant’, ‘Khambaja’, ‘Darbari’ aren’t played anymore.
I Do Not Interfere
The imaginary wants In the dim light of the cloudy moonlit night As if ghosts come into me In the heart, it’s not of fear
Become Stone With Joy
River flows towards the sea to join it When sea flows towards river causes flood. Birds always fly into the sky
I had a walk alone In the street Bourbon In the evening on Saturday What I saw don't know how to say
I had a walk alone
In the street Bourbon
In the evening on Saturday
What I saw don't know how to say
Saw the ugly nudism behind
Solution that the Civilization should find
Enjoyed the jazz music on the road side
Topless ladies and gays nothing to hide
