Religious Persecution

Walking home, two young men approach me on the street
To reveal to me, life’s mysteries
They had all the answers in their book
I blew smoke in their face

Walking away, they started their well practiced dance
Said ‘Sir, why won’t you give us a chance? ’
‘It’s obvious you’re a lost soul.’
They forced me to retort

Still walking, they asked ‘Do you believe in God? ’
I said ‘I’d like too, but sometimes it’s hard.’
They asked me, ‘Aren’t you afraid of hell? ’
I said ‘If that’s my fate…’

Then so be it…

At the end of the road,
Who knows, ...
