On Her Dying
Frail and grey, The world may say, But you should know better,
I don't usually stare, But you got me there, Staring at you foolishly, speechless, I'm gonna approach you never the less.
Down goes the bubble, In a heaply bunch Of rubble,
Our faces were pale, Soil frozen below the feet, Heat was lost in the pail, As we lay cramped up under the sheet.
I hear the peals again, The monotones of the gypsies, It calls, On the street,
Down goes the bubble,
In a heaply bunch
All rolls agog,
Like a mad man's feet,
As man's labour crumble,
At the reach
