It's mid-summer again with its mild and moist morning,
Soon whisked away by the mid-day sizzling breeze.
The gorgeous wildflower drinks of the sun's offering,
While butterflies sip of the lily blossom's wine on the lees.

That wonderful morning I felt so well,
I chose to turn aside for an early stroll.
Lead by my Creator to a flowery dell,
I glided over fields so lovely to behold.

Sitting quietly in the midst of a copse of pine,
A little white church dwells there in the wood--
A sacred beacon as well as a rural shrine,
For the residents of this idyllic neighborhood.

Allow me to awaken you with the aura of morning's serenity,
To a new day with all the solutions to your deepest fears.
Let your step be in time with a songbird's refreshing melody,
Allowing the trees and winds to deal with yesterday's tears.

You stand there in your pride and raw beauty,
But don't forget that caressing you is my decreed duty.
That warm and sturdy fabric my heart can feel,
Because of your humbling courage-stimulating appeal.

Being met by a river like in some boyhood dream,
I retain a memory of the Wabash with affection.
Its vista added an attraction to the landscape,
Aided from above by a blue expanse of reflection.

On a dark, mysterious and cloudless night,
A shooting star traces its way from the east.
God's shining divine messenger glows bright—
Directing the Wise Men's excursion for peace.

The rhythm of our existence in the world
Is formulated in words by a noble source;
And in his second epistle it is unfurled
And it is demonstrated in literary force.

There is something unsettling about a winter storm,
Though it plasters and sizes a landscape for splendor-
Much like a huge canvas is prepped for art form
And blasted by the wind for a mysterious wonder.

When we are in the lab seeking for facts,
We need a lot of folks covering our backs.
Our senses are so very limited by time
And the vastness of our realm sublime.
