    Ali,

What can I say? Even though we have never met, we have shared an honest love through our letters. I miss our conversations, our twenty questions, our laughing and crying. I hope that you never stop dreaming and writing and loving. You are a true talent, and a true friend. May both grow with the years.

    Be good to you,

    a.m.

Autumn Affection

The beauty of slow decay
and the fragrance of dust-coated roses
Brittle leaves falling to the ground
leave the slumbering tree starkly bare
There’s a dark luminescence where you lay
and you opened what usually closes
Your silence is the only sound
as I wait for the love you can spare
