Biography of Amanda Edwards
I was born in Ohio. I became interested in poetry after the first loss of my grandmother on March 19,2003 it was devastating, and then the loss of my grandfather March 13,2005. I guess you could say March is a bad month for me. Anyways I was on a downward spirl to nowhere. I was having trouble in school, and eventually I just up and quit. But one day in the year of 2006 I decided that it was pointless to throw my life away on something I couldn't change. Now I'm back in school, and planning on going to college to become a writer or journalist. It's funny the cards that life deals you isan't it? There are many things that I have learned from. Many instances that I have learned from. I've learned that giving up isan't worth it. I believe that you should want to better yourself no matter what other's may think or want of you. Knowledge 'is' the key to happiness.
I love reading. Reading is one of my most treasured hobbies that I'm becoming more and more increaseingly fond of. I also like to get involved with charities, because I love helping people that need to be helped, and also of course animals. I belong to the HSUS and PETA. I'm also a vegetarian. I have five cats and five birds. Sylvester is my baby kitty though. He's a chunky, cuddly little thing, and I just love him.

Now, I have a few questions for everyone that's read my poetry, and obviously read my biography is do you think I have talent? Do you think I could go on to become a famous poet or writer? Do I inspire you? Am I helpful? If you could let me know I'd really appreciate it. I want to help people through my writing, and I want to know if I've been of any use. Helping though is not the only reason I have for wanting to become a writer though. I was to inform people. I have learned so many things already that I want to share with others. Share knowledge.

Amanda Edwards Poems
I Walk Alone
I’ am utterly alone No one treads this course I show no displeasure
A Hearts Lost Love
I’ve loved you for many years These tears
Melts Away / Never Stays
Love is Love It comes and goes It melts away Just like the snows
Sarcastically funny Cynically sweet Blonde with brains Brutally honest
Fool On Me
A fool That’s what I feel I’ve been I put my trust in a guy Thought he was my friend
O, Father How I Loathe Thee
Thank you father for never being there, Thank you for all your cruel stares,
Oh come now It’s the time to stop swirling Need to start living A beautiful full life
I’ am nothing to him, But he is everything to me, Another woman gets his affection, His attention,
If you have read my other poem you know that my relationship with my father is more than a little rocky. My mother and I haven't seen him in five years. Well not intentionally, what I mean by that is that we do have the unfortunate occasion of running into him. The last was quite a show. It's embarrassing and unfortunate, but hey what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. I love my mom. She gives me strength, and inspires me. This poem was written with her in mind, because I’ am not the only that had to suffer. We’ll be strong, And we’ll rejoice,
How Was He?
As he lay dieing He requested to see The snow fall falling Though he could not speak
How Was He?
As he lay dieing
He requested to see
The snow fall falling
Though he could not speak
The stroke was sure to take care of that
You could see the shine in his eyes
And the curl of his mouth on one side
Trying his best to smile
Then the tears formed
