Anna Louise Page Poems
Realising you were wrong doesn't make the pain any easier. It just paves your dark hole with mirrors, encircling you, So that looking forward always involves looking back.
The only role model I know. Skin and bone without a soul, You claim you hate fame - But what else do you know?
Clinging to the edge, even though the bottom is sunshine. Piercing, fragmented rays - dripping with ink. So much to hold on for
How did you become another face, in the panshot of the crowd? Why is your voice now part of the chorus, when it used to be so loud?
Clinging to the edge,
even though the bottom is sunshine.
Piercing, fragmented rays - dripping with ink.
So much to hold on for
Yet nothing at all.
Do I let nails grind away at the stony edge,
in the hope of revealing diamonds?
