    I read all the poems you've put on line here, and very much appreciate the grounded way in which you use images and sustain metaphors. Your sensibility reminds me somewhat of Robert Frost, who also took Nature as his book of metaphors. I hope to read more of your poems.

Pawley's Island, April

The sun, with quiet strength, rose yet again
to place a crown of gold
on every head within its realm.

The fire, an ancient friend against the night,
benignly spread a glow
to warm each cheek within its cope.

Countless grains of sand resisted not
