Mother came over today

I am blessed by the winter sun
It's kiss warm and soothing
It caresses me in it's bosom
And holds me close

My smile never ending
It radiates from my being like rays of the sun
There is a reason for this
It is my beloved

I walk through the snow of the mountain
Yet I do not know cold
A place where the air is thin
Yet I do not need to breath

Why is it so painful
Why does it hurt so much
Why does it feel this way
When one loves so much

I decided to open up my heart today
After years of keeping myself closed
People have told me about my wall
It has just taken time is all

It once might have been
That we were two roses bending in the wind
Each with it's own fragrance sweet
Living on the sun but not aloud to speak

Sometimes I walk through the candy store
My head bowed down but eyes up and I gaze
Do they notice that I need to feed
Do they wonder what pleases me

I am sitting here with this sound in my head
Shivers shakes my body as I long to hear more
