I love poetry. I have no extensive formal education, but have read and written all of my life. I find simplicity in self-expression to be a true gift. This is my first attempt as sharing my poems publicly. I hope you enjoy them.

I let you slide me out of my snug little wrapper. You bit in quickly, and sucked every last bit
Thoughts of you twirl endlessly in my head like hundreds of spinning tops. Do you think of me?
We were two adventurers, up for anything. The world was our playground; no stone was left unturned when we walked by.
The Old Razzle-Dazzle
You came on so bright and shiny, a bunch of cartwheels and high kicks. As time went on you became like a box of cracker jacks
Thoughts of you
twirl endlessly in my head
like hundreds of spinning tops.
Do you think of me?
Can you sense my yearning,
does my fear of rejection
keep it hidden away?
Your hand sweeps the tops aside,
and my questions disappear
as you gently
hold my face
