i had love once, but now it’s gone

You pour a drink, and fix your tie

On the table sat a moth
Dark against the tablecloth
Looking from a different angle
I can see its wee legs tangle

Pawn-shop girl
Sell your heart for gold
Flaunt your wares, but be quick!
They won't want you when you're old

In the dark, a snowflake shudders
Torn apart from its mother
The storm cloud passes, but the snowflake stays
And here it will live out its days
