Beryl Harrison Poems
He's a cunning beast of nature A denizen of the night Who would want to tame him This majestic awesome sight.
Too Late Now
I wish I'd looked after my body before it got too old, I wish when I was told too clean my teeth I'd done as I was told, I wish I'd taken my codliver oil before it got too late, before my joints and extremities went past there sell by date.
You walk under a ladder and the paint tin falls on you I walk under a ladder, I get the painter too. You fall off a building with a long long way too go You fall off the building, guess whose stood below?
He's a cunning beast of nature
A denizen of the night
Who would want to tame him
This majestic awesome sight.
Trotting through a forest
so silent you can't hear'
All you glimpse are flashing eyes
All you smell is fear.
You hold your breath and hide
