Rebirth

i was broken
i never saw the sun
looking for salvation
always on the run

i was careless
i took more than i gave
walking with my head down
directly towards my grave

then i stumbled
i saw my broken wings
and then it occurred to me
that all that's left is everything

i've been angry
i've cried myself to sleep
i used to think this uphill road
would get the best of me

the fog, it lifted
i had an awakening
in my rebirth i discovered
that all that's left is everything

now i see sunshine
and the wind whispers my name
i am a woman
and i dance between the rain

i am alive now
i'll show you strength you never knew
and when i falter
i land in a softness that i call truth

we all can look back
and see we all have broken wings
still they carry us
because all that's right is everything
