There was a man in Canterbury,
Who lived a life that made him worry.
He stole to live a life,
to take care of his children, wife.
One night, he stole a locket.
He dropped it into his pocket.
The lady screamed, 'It's gone!
He searched with her 'til dawn.
Slyly he dropped it to the ground,
and pointed happily, 'It's found! ”
The lady rewarded him with silver, stacked.
She fervently appraised his chivalrous act.
He felt bad so he admitted he stole it,
the lady gave him a bag with gold in it.
He looked at her and asked her why.
She said, 'I tried to catch you in a lie,
but obviously your honesty was too strong,
because you admitted you were wrong.'
