as, on this night, Legions of Evil will roam.
It won't be safe outside for you OR me;
each stately oak will become a stately ….

My 'Showcase' Task & My Requests To Readers

It's not as easy to assemble poems (I like) each month to share with YOU.
I mean it's not as easy as it USED TO BE for me, but I do find a FEW.

Readers,

Due to my frustration with the process I use (trying to) put together this showcase, combined with my time limitations, computer incompetence (mine) , and general ineptitude (mine) , this 2nd Nov.2021 showcase is SHORT. Ha! ! bri ;)

I, Bri, thought I might not submit another showcase, but, for Bharati Nayak, I DO.
She is one of the few members who comment, one of the very, very, VERY FEW!

In my last two or three showcases, I gave only notes, not the complete poem texts.

VENOMOUS: 'Capable of injecting a 'venom' ** causing
an injury, literally or figuratively, perhaps even death.'
The venom of some spiders & snakes are best-avoided.
And venomous words-spoken, at times may 'take away...

I woke up and before I got out of bed I thought...
about words of a poem which I'd not yet wrought.
I once heard about something 'God' had 'wrought',
but THAT is not what, by tonight, I hope I've brought

If you awaken before me
And I'm crying in my sleep,
I must be dreaming of you,
You dirty rotten little creep.

I've got a lot of hair I hide...BENEATH my clothes,
not the least of which is...the hair BETWEEN my toes.
You may think it STRANGE I've got hair between my toes,
but what MY friends think is strange...IS that i wear clothes.
