So just what does one do with oneself
When your life knocks you down more than once?
Do you just plant your ‘tush' on a shelf,
Or frame your act and pass as a dunce.

So what makes a poem a poem?
There is blank verse but it does not rhyme,
Has it something to do with rhythm,
Is polish really different from grime?

It's TRUE I offer strong opinions,
They do not mean I KNOW you're wrong,
I do not threaten you with minions,
I charge no fee to hear my song.

Poet's Introduction:
Everything in this poem is true as I can best remember. I was about 28 at the time and my wife Kathy was 4 years younger so it has been a few years ago that we did this. This is not the end of this poem as Chapter 12 remains unwritten and there could be a miscellaneous chapter to pick up some missing items as the poem ages on me.
