Biography of Carabella ...
My poetry over the years has been a catharsis that relieves the pain of losing my husband six years ago. I'm married again but still feel the essence of the most amazing man I've ever known, who will always be larger than life to me. Most of my poems were written after he died, newer work will be noted.
I miss that place on the side of your neck,
So smooth, soft, without lines, like a child,
Accepting my kisses there with tickling beard,
Tucked into my ear and whispering there.
I miss your eyes that drank me in
With more love than I'd ever felt
Brown, limpid and liquid, beautiful
With a depth only I knew.
