Biography of Carl Selph

I was born and grew up in Arkansas, attended Ouachita College, graduated with a degree in English from the U. of Ark., where I won all the literary prizes-some three times, and then earned an English from Columbia University. I taught at various universities for about ten years, lived for 20 years in Florence, Italy, and now have lived almost 19 years in Mexico. I have published verse and a few short-stories in little magazines and university quarterlies. In addition to teaching at universities I have been a partner in a language school and an export business, sold antiques, and designed and built houses.
