Biography of Colette Wintrow
Well, to start off I am a young poet hoping to learn from others and possibly get some encouragement to continue my work. I am thirteen and female, I have a very open mind and I love to discuss the world and the unknown.
Colette Wintrow Poems
If he can't have a conversation with you, you are disconnected. If all he can talk about is sex, then you never will be connected.
Sitting here in the dark all alone, falling apart. I can't stop the tears, I can't feel my heart. You left me to die, and all we had was a lie. You promised I was safe, that I won't go unloved,
Love is a flame, it can be blown out. Love is a dove, it can be shot down.
Life is not a book, you can't rip out the parts you hate. Life is not dirt, you can't wipe it up and start clean.
I always thought of us as one, but it altogether came undone. I was always there to catch you as you fall, still you abandoned me when I needed you most of all.
I always thought of us as one,
but it altogether came undone.
I was always there to catch you as you fall,
still you abandoned me when I needed you most of all.
I was wrong to believe in such a silly fantasy but,
no worries, no harm done. 'Cause a bullet through the head
isn't as painful as one right through the heart.
