In a building down off first street
is a shelter from the wind and rain
the reality of winters chill
is why most of them came

I went to pay the bills today
and ask them to give me awhile
to catch up on the ones
way past due right now..

Remember that old fire place
we sat in front of
talking girl and taking
time out to make love
...

I love a old gravel road
with numbers (no name)
on hot summer evenings
still wet from the rain..

While waiting for a bus
there came a man
dressed in raggy clothes
and a 3 day beard..
